The Deal
Membership is not a loyalty card. It is how the first night gets funded and how the size of the room gets decided. Founding members carry the club before it exists, and the club owes them for that.

Membership FAQ
What if I do not know any of the records?
Then you are the reason the club exists. Nobody on a Northern Soul floor was born knowing this music. Read three pieces on The Music page and turn up.
Is the venue confirmed?
No. Rooms in Fairfield County are being viewed and the floor has to be wood. The venue is announced to members first, by email, the day it is signed.
Why charge before there is a date?
Because a free signup list tells us nothing. Twenty five dollars tells us who will drive to a room on a Saturday. That number decides how big the first night can be. If it does not clear the bar, everybody gets refunded.
What is the refund policy?
Full refund if the first night does not happen. Full refund on request within thirty days of joining, for any reason. After that, membership runs a year from the date you joined.
Can I bring people who are not members?
Yes. General admission is $25 on the door and there is no guest list nonsense. Members get the advance price and the earlier Record Bar access.
I live in Boston, New York or New Jersey. Is this for me?
Yes, and your ZIP code is how the road nights get planned. Join and it counts toward a night closer to you.
Do you take cash at the door?
Yes. Card too. Nobody is being turned away over payment method.
